The Land Overlooking Carey Valley

Carey Valley Retreat is situated on 40 acres of pastureland divided by ancient Devon hedges brimming with wildlife. It falls away down into the Valley and gives access to the Carey River, which is perfect for lazing by, paddling or even a cold water dip in one of the deep pools.

Guests can walk around the land which is bordered by ancient oak and beech trees.

Not far from the river is a newly built Celtic Stone Medicine wheel; designed by Mark Leib. It’s the perfect place to meditate or just to sit, relax and connect with the surrounding landscape.
